I am having positive visualization about my 4:30 p.m. glazing appointment in the ceramics studio with my bowl. Luckily I do not have a digital camera so I won't be posting my final project, but just keep this first place winning image in your mind as you visualize my "work".
Good post vacation re-entry day. It is different for me to go away for a week and not walk back into an office full of work and "issues". I guess that is the difference between my former and present work life. I do feel that I have a reservoir of energy that may need an outlet pretty soon, but it may also just be my usual Spring surge that I get. 20 degrees "warmer" today than yesterday. We will see where that energy leads me.
As to this week - glazing tonight and I need to get out and walk. I went to an incredible volleyball game last night at school. The best volleyball game I had ever witnessed. I don't have that much history with the game (except getting thrown out of an intramural game in college due to my anger management issue...) but this was a "playing for first place" game with my school and Berkshire. Our girls were so poised and there were plenty of opportunities for the lid to fly off and bodies start flying, but they kept their focus and won the match 3-1. 30 points per game - it was two hours of constant action.
Wednesday will be 7:30 a.m. at church - Ash Wednesday - and possible hometown versus our arch rival high school basketball game with my neighbor and her daughter at night. Thursday - taking the car in for an oil change before work and see what the check engine light is this time then getting together with a student at 3:30 p.m. to go over the Memorial Chapel script. Friday, there is a recital at Hartt School, but I might just want to walk and come home by that time. We will see.
Next week: Press box seats for my college alma mater game on Monday night, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer event at Trinity College on Wednesday night. Hope my Spring energy surge kicks in early.
Needed to be writing some thank you notes last night, but I was too busy eating Valentine candy that a friend gave me in NC...I am bringing what I have left to work - I don't touch it usually, but when it is in the house - that is why I don't keep any sweets in the house.
My quote from the friendship book I got from another friend in NC that works for me today - Like a good book, a lasting friendship has many chapters". My friends must wonder when they will "get" the plot of my book. I am dying for the Cliff Notes myself!
Another part of my Spring "work" is replanting my house plants - the fact that I have kept 4 plants alive for a year is a miracle, but I have a feeling that they are all feeling a bit pinched.
Good news, bad news - one of my last week's vacation days was a snow/official school closed day so I have one MORE day to use up by June 30!!!
Off to get ready for work.
