FRIDAY is a good thing!

The party did not stop yesterday. Full day at work and a call from my Texas friend to say she would be staying in town one more night, so I had to shift from nap thinking to entertaining thinking - but I was happy to have her around another night. The weekend ahead will be my break.

After work it was off to the town pool, then back to the apartment for some wine, then to the Thai restaurant (I was sick I forgot my coupon...but it was in my car and we took her PT Cruiser rental car, oh well.) Then back home and lucky for me I was on my pull out couch by 10 p.m.! My company have nothing but rave reviews about my Kingsdown mattress on my bed and nothing but jokes about my pull out couch that I bought in 1995 and have yet to take the plastic off the mattress??? But I am the one who sleeps on it when company comes, so I just let comments roll off my back.

Today, my friend will join me and my co-walking, co-worker for our morning walk before she picks up her brother and then heads to Boston to pick up her husband at the airport and continue on to their family gathering. Sister #1 introduced my friend and her husband when all three of them were in Paraguay at the same time in the 80's.

I think I will be hanging around town this weekend. August 18 and it is predicted to be in the 70's...very strange. Sister #1 may have something else to say about the weather as she lives in the eastern Caribbean. I am thinking she will be battening down the hatches.

Don't remember if I have spoken about the job that my father saw in the paper the other day at another local private school, but I emailed the contact to see if it was still an active search and she said to send along my resume. I will freshen up that document tonight and send it along to her. Never a dull moment.

No CSPAN in two days, I have a very "become one with my couch" feeling coming over my mind for the weekend. We will see if it pans out or Sister #4 and 5 show up for the Lobster Loop fun run/walk in town on Sunday. I invited them up when my energy level was a bit higher...

I think the Yankees are losing, #20 is doing well AND I missed another pre-season football game last night! I have lost control of my life - but that is the good news.

Have a great weekend!
