Thursday

Trying to get an early start this morning. Meeting my neighbor for dinner tonight, dance class is supposed to start back up tonight after holiday break, I feel like I am losing control of my day before it has started.

Had a long phone conversation while I walked last night with a friend from Houston. He knew that I would have some comments following the NH primary...and he got an ear full. I was so not happy that people saw Hillary close to tears as being a plus. When have we looked positively on "presidential crying"? This trend certainly works against my feeling of women in the workplace as a negative. I want people to aspire to be the most they can be, but I want it to support family and community well-being rather than professional or financial gain...not an argument that attracts a lot of support these days.

Got great news from a friend in NC that her step son got into the college of his choice! What a great feeling for her family! It made my day that she shared her news with me as soon as she found out. We had just been talking about the prospect of him going when I called her from my walk on Tuesday night.

I got to the Town Hall in time to drop off our EDA approved minutes from our Dec mtg and draft up our January minutes once I got home. Leaving work at 6 p.m. worked for me on that level.

The dining hall has made my day since it opened back up on Monday. Certainly makes life easier when food does not have to be purchased or prepared!

Better get going. Hate to get up early and get to work at the same time... Almost Friday again.
