Easter Monday

Girls will be gone for another week but there should be interesting days this week. But yesterday was a nice break. I did not go into the office at all. We had a good family day at my parents. Smaller than usual crowd - only 6 of us, but good food and thanks to the parents we all had "gifts" as party favors from their favorite department store...OSJLs - a manicure set. Very interesting. It was nice but chilly day, I went for a couple of walks - once before dinner alone and once after with sister #4.

It was interesting talking over some of the things that "get me" about my school only to find out from sisters #4 & 5 who have been in the independent school setting for lots of years, that it is pretty much the norm. I will try to temper my questions and frustration with that information. But no matter how much I am told, I always think things can be "faster and better". Troublesome personality trait (flaw?) - we will see where it leads me.

My evening was sleepless due to a couple of factors - one, coffee after dinner and watching Q&A with Phil Donahue talking about and showing his new documentary - Body of War. Watching that show made me made at myself for not being more vocal about my opposition to the war and other Bush policies. I have to work on that.

Lots of programs this week. Should be a good week - if I can keep my comments under control. I am still in the 2000+ ranking on my bracket contest. I could not watch much of yesterday - Georgetown hung me out to dry with their game.
