Well the week is moving along, can't believe what took place on the work front this week but I am using my cosmic guidance to get me through the week beginning tomorrow.
A Brazilian man told his wife he wanted a divorce. Consumed with wrath, she laced his orange juice with a sedative and then sliced off his penis while he was unconscious. Fortunately, surgeons successfully reattached the organ. Later the man absolved his wife of her sin, and they reconciled. "She was stressed and I understand her reasons," he said. I hope his saintly feat inspires you to be equally magnanimous, Libra. It's a perfect moment for you to forgive people you thought you could never forgive -- to go way beyond your previous limits in extending tolerance, mercy, and slack.
We now know who our new boss and now it is three bosses - current interim boss stays at the overall head of Admission and College Counseling and the two finalists for the head of the Admission split up the Admission head job. And no one gets hired to replace the counselor who walked out last week...so we have a hallway of chiefs and a depleted group of worker ants. I did have a little "slip" when the announcement - as our department was told...I called the Head of School a lunatic. It just came out. So based on the fact that my feelings were out there, I scheduled a meeting with the head of the search committee and the Head for next Tuesday. As soon as March 10 is over.
Never a dull moment but for a person who likes to see how people work...I will be at a Barnum & Bailey show for the year ahead. I think I also used the "three ring circus" analogy at our department meeting...
Left work at 10:30 p.m. last night, want to leave at 6 p.m. tonight to meet with my friend from Texas and her sister for dinner. Our counselor who left to get married during the busiest time of our work year, was supposed to be in this a.m. called the office last night at 9 p.m. and was surprised when I answered the phone - their flight got cancelled so she will be in later today. Perfect really. At least the consistency of wacky things stays consistent.
I just hope it does not all cause the counselor/soccer coach to leave.
We are bearing in on the finish line. Even with all the drama. I love the drama. Keep good thoughts for me next Tuesday at 3 p.m. when I have my meeting with the Head of School. My cosmic guidance gave me a tempering feeling and that is a good thing.
And on top of everything - Favre retiring, Barack had a bad night. I need to regroup and rededicate myself this weekend and next week. Got my 850 the Buzz radio station bracket for the March Madness. I will work on that in Atlantic City.
