Earth Day Week

Cosmic guidance for the week: "April 20, 2008 -- Trust your instincts to the letter this week. You may not know how your mind has reached a certain conclusion but deep down you know it is the right one and if you back your hunch with hard cash you will be considerably richer by the end of the week, and not just in money."

I am torn between too many events this week plus I am going to a 12 hour writers' seminar on Wednesday - taking a day off from my "real" work to listen to how published writers have gotten to where they are. Lots of music events at U of H. This time of year is too busy. Thursday I am in charge of a co-worker's birthday. I am working on the dessert menu. Tuesday night there are too many Earth Day events - I can't decide to use that as my outing or cooking night. I am going to use today to gauge my energy and time for the week.

It was a great weekend all around - from time with my son to a "townie" yesterday talking to lots of people on the street corners as I moved through my day. Church, parents, walking it was a relaxing day. I did not make it through Q&A last night - seems to be a pattern for busy weekends. I was interested in the speaker - very smart guy with whom I don't think I have much in common politically but he was very intelligent and well read on his arguments and I can't not respect and appreciate that.

Water for Elephants was the book club book I started Saturday morning and finished Sunday morning - very good book.

I have no idea what I am going to find on my desk today - haven't stayed away from work for too many entire weekends of late.
