We have been planning for this for quite awhile but tonight is the night for our EDA Economic Forum - 3rd annual for the balance of the committee, 1st annual for me. I think we got a very good response even though we did not get any press attention since it is right in the middle of the all the Charter Revision and Budget Public Hearings. Oh well - as with other life events for me, who is meant to be there will be there.
Yesterday was book club night. Good discussion and - as always - a good group. Next month's book is Water for Elephants.
I forgot to mention that another of my Saturday activities was to hand over my $10 to Old Navy for my summer shoe wardrobe - black for dress up; white for church; yellow for "spring" feeling and a new color this year - grey - for what I call "business casual".
My dream sequences of late have been very vivid and the people very recognizable...I am wondering what my thinking of certain people from my past really means.
My "mum" plant (can't spell the real name that starts with "c") is blooming like crazy, I guess it feels that even though it is an inside plant, it wants to give the daffodils and crocuses it sees out the window a run for their money. I am thinking that I can almost start leaving my windows open everyday when I leave for work this week sometime.
I am coming up to marker dates - April 23 - my son graduated from Flagler College on April 23, 2005; and April 25 and my son's 25 on the 25th.
My thinking is leading me to buying a new car. I am going to pick a weekend in May during which my goal will be to get that done. I will try to get that done without the drama I usually put into major purchases. I am going to ask for assistance but I have not decided to whom that ask will be.
My thinking is also leading me to a day trip to NYC rather than staying overnight. But it is only Tuesday so lots of time left for thinking.
Better get ready. Have to think a bit harder about what I am wearing today since I have to go directly to the Forum from work. No walk tonight until after the forum, if it lets out in time.
Have a good Tuesday.
