Car Day

I have an appointment with Sophia at 9 a.m. to deal with this car thing. She has four Mazdas that might work for me - I think it is a bit optimistic on her part to think anyone can figure out what works for me...I have been able to discover that for years and she thinks she "has it" after a few email exchanges!!! Wish HER luck today!

Yesterday was a rough day at work - I let it get to me. My boss kept coming up with "one more report" she needed to do her Board reports. It is unfortunate she does not know how to use our database program or excel...and had no incentive to learn it in her interim position.

No walking either yesterday with the rain - another "issue".

I was aggravated by sister #3 and her whole "surprise" appearance she is planning on making on Sunday for our mother. The only good news is that my son might catch a ride with the NYC group and come up for the day. And that sisters 4 and 5 will be coming up. And more good news is that I am only in charge of buying ice cream cake.

I wrote a letter to my landlord to go with my June rent check asking for a rent reduction. It makes sense to me on so many levels...my thought is she will see "the light" also. July 31 is my next renewal date. Keep a good thought on that one too.

Will be at church on Sunday morning to hear whether I my name will "levitate" from the hat full of names...we will see where "God's will" takes me on that front. I am definitely throwing my life out there for others to respond.

Next week is Book Club (Water for Elephants-great book) followed by town budget meeting on Monday; friends from NC passing through the area on Wed (I will be missing a wine and cheese at the HOS' house...probably a good thing); reunion weekend at school beginning on Friday; Board of Trustee meetings beginning on Thursday - some of the reasons why I felt the need to deal with the car thing today.
