Happy Cinco de Mayo

Having lived in Ecuador, I am more tied to Diez de Agosto, but Cinco de Mayo always seems festive.

Yesterday was productive but not festive. I was at work at 9 a.m. and left at 7 p.m. but the last 3 hours was walk, recital and mandatory sitdown dinner for all boarding students. The dinner got off to a slow start, but got easier. We finally figured out the game - The Green Door something. Hope we find out that we won today.

I have nothing on my schedule for nights this week...I think I need to look at what is happening around the area so I don't fill all the time with work stuff.

Sports have not been on my radar since March Madness. I will probably chime back in for the Summer Olympics - there is always a story there that get my attention. But other than that, I have not even turned on sports talk radio on my way to work since basketball. At the Tag Sale set up there was a discussion about baseball and what is happening with Roger Clemens. Sounds like steroid and growth hormones are the least of his issues. I did not even realize he wasn't married to Debbie anymore. Things are just not right in the world anymore.

Curious about how the trip to Detroit is going for my son. He was meeting his dad out there to see Gramma and the Detroit Tigers. My ex-husband called the other night - it has been years since I have spoken to him and kept the conversation as short as possible. My son has some paperwork issues to deal with, but there was no way his father or me getting involved was going to help anything...

Had trouble falling asleep last night - don't know if it was having a real dinner at night, or working all day, or what. Usually I am so relaxed I can't get through Q&A of late, but last night I made it through the show and was surfing after that - Sunday night TV is not the strongest... Q&A was interesting with Justice Scalia - we don't share opinions, but I admire his accomplishments.

I will watch the primary results very carefully tomorrow. I hope that Obama comes out as a big winner and we can start wrapping this thing up and preparing for the fall.

Have a good week.
