Hate to admit that I went to work this a.m. so passed on writing. Wanted to get meeting notebooks ready for our departmental meeting on Monday. I am keeping track of any off hours work. Might be doing the same tomorrow - computer conversion is at the end of the month so proving my point at this point in time might just be cutting off my nose to spite my August face.
I wrote down "facebook, xerox machine, party, bad friend, clean house, son" on a piece of paper this a.m. to remind myself what I wanted to write about today...some I remember what I wanted to talk about, others not...oh well.
After work on Thursday, it was a quick walk then to a co-worker's on campus house for a wine & cheese. Headed home at 7 p.m., took a secondary walk and then came home to get wrapped up with cleaning house, watching a movie that I love - The Upside of Anger - one of the closing lines puts a spear through my heart. Then I got hooked on "Hopkins" a new summer fill in show that has me hooked.
Today was a good day at work, a nice long walk - and along the way I stood and watched some of the girls practicing their jumping on the cross country course. The girls and their horses are a real thing of beauty. Then I was off to my brother's for a swim. I didn't feel like the town pool "ambiance" tonight.
Tomorrow my plan is work, visit parents, church, and then walk to the next town for their Fire Dept carnival fireworks. Sounds like a plan. But the downside is I called a friend today to say I was backing out of our plan to go to a museum in Old Lyme tomorrow. I was feeling cheap (food and gas cost) and lazy today when it came to doing anything on a timetable. Having a plan for the day is one thing, being tied to it is another. Not a very good friend.
Right now, I have the wash in and watching my favorite Friday PBS line up. Missed the NewsHour, but I will catch up.
Have a great weekend.
