Back on the writing wagon - Happy February!

48 days until Spring - not that I am counting. The more I think about it, the more I think bears have it right. There is no reason why the winter needs to be lived through on an active, conscious level! I was surprised to hear that January was a below the average snowfall amount month - you could have fooled me. But I have been filling my non-writing time going to see our school team and my nieces play basketball, buying tickets for the UCONN-Pitt women's basketball game on the UCONN campus (I have never been to their field house. I had the Giants and the Ravens in the Super Bowl so I am now rooting for the Cardinals.

Trying to plan what to do with my two week March vacation. If anyone has any suggestions.

I had my annual "living in New England again" slip on the ice. 3 weeks ago this afternoon - I did my therapeutic dose of Advil and ace bandaged my way through and I am very happy with my recovering time. No pain carrying my laundry up and down 4 flights this a.m. Good feeling.

Got my first paycheck for my new part time job - Democratic Deputy Registrar of Voters.

Working my way through Jane Eyre for Feb 9 Book Club. Thinking of going to URI to see Coach Majerus and his Billikens on Valentine's Day. Also thinking of hitting Atlantic City again for the A-10 tournament since it starts the first day of my March vacation.

I have friends in North Carolina and Texas reminding the February is Spring already...

Spent a couple of hours talking to an old flame this week. Interesting - the good news being no sparks since he is happily married with two boys still in jr high and high school. I am grateful I am passed that stage of child rearing.

But the sun is out, wash is in the dryer, I will go in and see the parents today at some point, stop by school to see if anyone dropped off anything on the February 1 application deadline, and watch the first half of the SB at a neighbor's. Second half I like to watch by myself or listen on the radio. I can't be more boring if I tried.

Have a good February and hope you will again find my antics entertaining and I will keep "anonymous's" voice in the back of my head as I travel through the balance of the winter.
