So much for retirement...

Busy last couple of days. Transportation needs of niece, meeting for volunteer work on Sunday.

Monday was my last day at my regular work...it went OK. My friends in the office "herded" me through the day so I did not do or say anything out of line. The potential was there, but now I feel completely at ease about what is ahead. I live at a high energy level and that is a double edge sword. Most people make it work for them, but I ran into a buzz saw this time around. But all is good. And the "new me" at my old work is a very positive addition - from first day impression. That made me feel good.

DTC meeting last night. Trying to get energy up for the 2010 elections and the $ war chest for 2011 municipal elections. I hope that is where some of my energy will be directed.

Phone meeting this a.m. at 9 a.m. for some resume assistance, walk, nap (I am feeling like a car wreck after the last few weeks), pack, volunteer work, my going away party at a local bar...and then into the car at 4 a.m. tomorrow a.m. to head to NC. It is going to be an interesting rest of the month. Resume work, another trip to NYC for The Christmas Show at RCMH. I don't think I would have had time to work this month, so calling it quits was a handy move.

I was telling people that this is going to be a different transition since in the past job change = geographic move...this will be a new deal for me.

Keep good thoughts for the weather as I travel up and down the East Coast over the next week.
