Running short of time before I need to get ready for church and money counting to follow, but a few thoughts from yesterday.
Had my first non-energizing moments of my short lived retirement yesterday. Went back to school for a basketball game. I will pass on repeating that activity for awhile - still too sad for me. Good to see the girls, but I will concentrate on away games from here on out. It is so funny how I am am impacted by people and places. But I did have a great walk and saw some people I was very happy to see.
I love my book club book. Read a lot yesterday and will finish it off today. I will look forward to book club and hearing the author speak at our library later in the month.
Can't remember what I did during the meat of the day yesterday...except reading and getting a donut at the bakery in the a.m. Today will be a bit fuller - church, money counting, walk, Christmas music concert - but I am going to stay local, and I do have volunteer work.
Finished the day yesterday at an incredible recital of the U of H Percussion Department. They had a visiting artist from Brazil and it sounded like they had a very good year under his guidance. On the way home I stopped for "dinner" - FG French Fries...something about the cold weather and those FF's! Yesterday was certainly not a health food day! I will have to watch that today.
Better get in the shower.
