Good weekend

Turned my "office"/spare bedroom into a multimedia room this weekend. Apartment is small enough that I could roll my 12" basic cable TV in to listen to talking heads' shows and Olympics as I worked on volunteer assignments. Also a "1932 boom box" to get better radio reception. I was looking for an old Cher CD (did not find...), but could not find it. A friend sent me an email that made me question my connection to current pop culture (or life in general), so I was trying to retrace my steps as to where I fell off the current and connected track...

Good walk yesterday with an ex co worker. I am very excited about her near future. She needs to shake things up and is on track to do that. She has a busy week ahead.

Busy today for me - starting with one of my favorite activities - to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned!!! And end my day at the "BLT" (Berkshire League Tournament) to watch my niece's team. It can't get much better than that. With Big Y, volunteer work, hockey game, and I hope some reading of Uncle Tom's Cabin for my HBSC book club in between.

Great recital yesterday afternoon, after my walk, with Trombone/Organ combo. Very interesting and the musicians were incredible. Both those instruments are baffling to me. Way too much going on to get the sound out of those two things.

Hope everyone has aspirations for a great week. I will try to keep my feet to the fire as to writing out my outcomes list for 2010. Also, taxes are calling. Hard to get excited about that when everyone is getting their refunds and I am writing a check. Oh well.

Missed an opportunity to see "my crush" Rick Majerus at UMASS yesterday as his Billikens played UMASS. I guess I "am over him". Probably good, because he is either married or going out with a showgirl-I am thinking.
