Being reconsidered for a position I applied for early in my retirement. I thought it would be a good match at that point in time and having it pop up out of the blue has made it a fun thing to reconsider. I also got a call from another person I sent my resume to - looks like this week I will have a better handle on my work future and a solid plan in place for a side business to develop over the years ahead.
Town Hall, volunteer school, walk to buy tuna on sale, library to read the NYT's and finish my book club book (and did so in the nick of time before book club started at 7 p.m.) Now I can finish reading The Help in peace and then get on to my next HBSC book club book (Promised Land: Thirteen Books That Changed America by Jay Parini)
and town library book (Hope Endures: Leaving Mother Teresa, losing Faith and Searching for Meaning by Colette Livermore).
Today is Community Center for 7:30 a.m. meeting of C of C Board to hear what the 1st Selectman has to say about the town activities, then to Newington for a ROV conference, then walk, then to EDA meeting at 6 p.m.
I do have to think about where to obtain my food contribution to the big birthday party this weekend. Potato Salad. I will begin my research on Thursday for Sunday party. As to food, anyone getting the Starbuck's "Passport to Bold" for their weekly coffee specials?
Better get moving. Not used to having to be somewhere this early in the a.m. any more...
