32 teenagers and a rained out baseball game...it made for a long day but I was amazed at how well behaved they were. I am glad today is Friday and I will head out early (earlier than my usual early) to head to Newport. I hope the weather will support this adventure. But even with rain, I need to get out of town and then I will plan the balance of the weekend.
I turned in to an OK chaperon (spell check told me to spell it this way??) for the trip - no children lost or hurt. That is all I could hope for. The kids did get to go out on the field for a bit and had lunch. The Rock Cats' people did a great job under the circumstances.
So today, work, drive, walk, eat and back home.
I did go for a walk in the rain after the field trip and work. Was looking for a rainbow as I walked - I am getting greedy after that episode at Bill's last week with the double. Swung by the library to make sure I had a book for the weekend. I am thinking I will be relaxing a bit this weekend - at home or at the beach based on the weather.
Have a good Friday. We had a reporter from local online news yesterday, so I will be curious what he captured to chronicle the day.
