Hot day and a ride in the car needed to get father to the doctor's appt. Not feeling fun. In to the office early so I can get everything done.
Yesterday I had fun outreach - former school ex co worker emailed me early and said how about dinner at the beach? The timing was perfect. I headed to Outriggers to meet her and had a great night sitting and eating by the water. Another ex co worker from NC reached out about meeting me in DC in September when I go for the Peace Corps celebration. I need to get my head around those plans.
Got the signal to meet with HR at my VSW to turn it into PSW...volunteering for 2+ years and now I will get paid for it. Not a bad thing, but I need to adjust my regular work to make it the best case scenario, but until then I will just hustle and work a lot. Not a problem.
Didn't quite finish my current Kellerman. I really want to get to the end, but the hour ride back and forth to dinner last night cut into my reading time. But that is fine. I cancelled my trip to my sister's tomorrow because of VSW work and just general need to rest. Saturday off to a college friends for maybe the beach or maybe something else. We will see what the weather is doing but I think it will be a good beach day.
So today it will be work, doctors, work, walk & swim. Tomorrow early to work, VSW, walk and swim, news shows and early to bed. Saturday to friend's and an outing. Sunday no plan.
I don't do air-conditioning so this time of the year is interesting, but to tell you the truth I have not had any sleeping issues with my new (2 years in August) is as breezing as a place could possibly be.
I am a lucky girl on many levels these days.
