"Something you started a few months ago will pay big dividends over the coming week. This is also an excellent time for friendships, so share your good fortune with those who always support your endeavors."
One exit away from the big event...the story of my life. But for the last 10 years+ that has been OK with me. While thousands partied down at the VIBES event in Bridgeport, I was at Sherwood Island on the beach followed by a LR at Captains Cove. Not crowded at the beach which amazed me and REALLY not crowded at Captains Cove. Glad my college friend made the suggestion to go to the beach and we stayed on that end of the CT coast line. I don't mind doing my day alone, but it is always a nice change of pace to have company. I am thinking Hammonasset was more crowded and I had forgotten how good the LR option was at CC.
Thunder and lightening greeted me this a.m. I was already awake. I am thinking that will usher in the "cooler" temps today. My plan is to take advantage of that and do some walking and swimming since I finished my to-do list yesterday.
Beach, lunch, Staples, ShopRite, wash clothes, clean apt, started a new Kellerman - now that I type this, I still have ironing to do.
On the radio on my ride home, I heard some lyrics by Tiff Merritt - that struck me and went something like this - "Life happens in small, tender moments and that is where I want to go, where I want to live." That speaks to me as I moved through my day yesterday and many days of late - sitting on the beach, swimming in the sound, sitting looking out at the water and eating a LR...nothing big, but those moments make my day.
Sick about Oslo, Amy Winehouse, Washington DC activity. I will watch the talking heads' shows to see how things are moving - not - along.
Here is to a good day.
