Last Wednesday of my 60th yr

"Visualize yourself heading out on a high adventure with interesting people -- but all the while being distracted by the memory of a trivial insult you experienced earlier that day. Picture yourself getting intimate with a lover who inspires you to lose your self-consciousness -- up until the point when you decide to interrupt your fun by answering a phone call from some random person. Imagine toning yourself down and holding yourself back because of misplaced politeness or unnecessary guilt or delusional fear -- even though you're feeling a rushing instinct to surge and soar and overflow. Finally, Libra, understand that in getting you to envision these parodies of your current inclinations, I'm hoping to shock you into making sure that nothing like them happens."

"Make the most of the opportunities that come your way over the next few days. If you don't you will hate yourself for being too slow and indecisive. Find the courage to take the kind of risks most people avoid."

Not a relaxing take on my cosmic guidance, but I am getting the point!  Keep a good thought about my execution abilities.

All company gone.  Reminders of company are someone forgot a toothbrush, a pumpkin decorate my counter top, a new magnet for my refrigerator.  It was very nice to crawl into my own bed last night.  I sleep in my home office when there are guests.  Yesterday was a full day of regular work, VSW, treadmill at VSW, home to watch Newshour, listened to a documentary as I did VSW work on the computer, went to bed when the debate started.  I can't watch those things.  It is such a minefield for the candidates.  The documentary I watched included Tim Wise.  My picture today is from the Tim Wise lecture I went to a few years back.  I was surprised to see him on the screen last night.  Race 2012.  I think it would be a good CD for teachers to play in a Civics class or the like.

Going to be a bright, sunny day today.  I think the VSW exercise option is going to work.  We will see if I get any push back from any of the other people on campus.

Here we go.  Have a good Wednesday.
