"Gonzo columnist Mark Morford wrote a list of liberated behaviors he wants to
cultivate. Since you're in the emancipatory phase of your yearly cycle, I invite
you to try some of his strategies. 1. Have a gentler grip. Let go of tight-assed
attitudes. 2. Make deeper penetration. Don't be satisfied with surfaces. 3.
Raise the vibration. Isn't it a waste of precious life energy to mope around in
a sour and shriveled frame of mind? 4. Appreciate appreciation. Treat gratitude
as an emotion of the same caliber as joy. 5. Cultivate ecstatic silliness.
Develop a blissful ability to take everything less seriously. 6. Drink the awe.
Allow astonishment to seep in."
"The more someone tries to change your mind about an issue the more you must
stand your ground. If others want to follow the latest fad that is up to them
but no way will you ever be one of the herd."
I am focused in "drink the awe. allow astonishment to seep in." I am visualizing that taking place. As far as the herd thing...no new news there.
Good day yesterday. The "new me" and me had a great session last night at work #1. Good technical developments at work #3. Quiet, short day at work #2. Boss still out of town and I did my deadline items and left to head back to work #1 for the training session. No parents yesterday.
I will see today how the meeting went yesterday afternoon with the home health people. I hope that was a success. No real options at this point. My sister will head back to NYC at some point and then the parents will be able to see what their new life reality is. I will go over the budget deal with father today and see if I need to assist with anything in that area. Home Health care is not my thing on any level.
Today is end of year picnic at work #3. But lots of work to do before the party. Better get going. Feel good about today - no rain in the forecast. I am leaving the windows open.
Have a good Wednesday.
