Kayaks and mermaids?

Only with my son would my day go like it did yesterday.  3 mile kayak paddling event for my FIRST time in my life except a very brief experience in the Chapel Hill Y pool for not sure why I was moved to do decades ago.  But this was in part of the intercoastal waterway.  Weeki Wachee State Park.  We started our park experience at the Mermaid show.  Incredible.  It has been going since the 40's.  Great history of the area told by mermaids.  You can't make it up.  ABC was involved early.  A twist of fate took the eye off Weeki and off to Disney.  The state bought the park a few years back.  Totally interesting.  The kayak piece...I was extremely encouraged when I could raise my arms to wash my hair last night.  We went in a double and had lots of "course corrections".  Too funny.  Stopped by the Tarpon "town beach".  Quite an area.  Did a pick up from Rusty Bellies for dinner last night.  Will hope to see the owners and kids again tonight before I get ready to pack up and leave tomorrow.

Watching the weather.  Could be an interesting ride from airport to home.  Snow/rain combo platter.  I will hope that flight stays on schedule and the weather is such that the real snow holds off.  4 and 7 p.m. DCs are my goal...fingers crossed.

Today one or two boat rides and maybe to the beach.  Clean up airbnb which was perfect!  Met my "being on Main St" desire for where I am.

Have a good Saturday.  I will be having son send me some pics to my email so I can add some next week.
