Saturday wander/Happy Mother's Day

This is a pic of the place in the 50's that yesterday was the naming of the new boat launch on the river.  Where my family house went down the river in Aug '55.  So yesterday I started out for my walk at 10:30 am and ran into the event.  Chatting with PD buddies, First Selectman, signed the petition to save the old fire dept building.  Then family friend's daughter, her husband and friend's husband were at the daughter's flower stand.  She grows the flowers and set up a stand a couple times a year at her dad's shop.  So I did not get home until 2 p.m. Good walk.  I had to smile when I saw some tension at the Ben & Jerry's in town.  Store was closed at a time when it was supposed to be open...and a lady was pacing outside on the phone trying to get someone to get someone to the store to "release" the cake they said would be ready for pick up at noon.  I wandered around the Shoppes for a bit, and she was still there when I exited...wonder how her party went.  :)

Watched Blue Bloods, All-In podcast.  Listening to Prof G and Rex Chapman interview.  I did not know Chapman story.  Interesting.  LA DC at night.  Good discussion.  Got the RSVP for niece's Sept wedding.  :/  Paid electric bill...electric bill and COMCAST.  What a kick in the stomach.  

Today walk to Unionville.  Talk to son is my thought.  :)  

A change that you have been fearing can no longer be avoided but once it occurs you will wonder why you got so worked up about it. Compared to other situations you have dealt with in the past this one won’t be much of a challenge.
