Dreaming of packing...ice cream :)

"Ready to go" and hope I can get my packing done as efficiently as the pictured traveler.  :)  Stuff.  I hate to think of landfills as all us boomers downsize.  Oh well.  Yesterday I was even packing ice cream...will need to be more discerning for sure.

Ran into landlord on my walk yesterday.  Raising rent in January...another reason 2025 is such a challenge.  But that is the rent vs buy dilemma.  Will let him know about my T'day travel and trip with son ahead so he can come in and see what is up as to need to paint, patch...refrigerator and baseboard heating system.  He did mention that man across the landing - 31 year renter...  Not a lot of turnover in this building.  I told the landlord that I could not thank him and his wife enough for a safe place to live for all these years.  Where did those 15 years go?  :/

T'day plan - meet in Westerly on Tuesday then 2,4,6 in car early Wednesday a.m. and head to Arlington VA to sister #1's.  Then son lands here on Dec 5 and we head to Detroit on Dec 6.  Then the adventure begins.  Detroit to Sedona to Bay Area to Mt Shasta to Joshua Tree...thought of this when I read this last paragraph of Sebastian Junger's book "In My Time of Dying".  "I'm now much older than he was that night, and I finally understand how much my father must have trusted me on that trip, how much he must have loved me.  We're all on the side of a mountain shocked by how fast it's gotten dark;  the only question is whether we're with people we love or not.  There is not other thing - no belief or religion or faith - there is just that.  Just the knowledge that when we finally close our eyes, someone will be there to watch over us as we head out into that great, soaring night."  Lots of mountains on our trip.  :)  Trusting my son completely as he plans our itinerary.  :)

Yesterday - watched my Chicago shows from Wed p.m.  Walked.  No W&T book yet at library so picked up a J. A. Jance.  I will have to speed read the W&T once it gets in.  Walking Book Discussion Reads Walking Home: A Poet’s Journey -  Meet at Route 202 Gate of Nepaug Reservoir

Will think about doing more sifting and sorting.  Walk.

You cannot allow negative thoughts to get a grip on you, because once they have wormed their way into your mind it may take a long time to get rid of them again. Focus instead on what you plan to do with family and friends this coming weekend.

Acknowledge which areas of your life could use a little more fire, dearest Libra, as the Aquarius moon aligns with the nodes of fate. Use this energy to stoke the embers within matters of the heart or passion projects, doing what you can to maintain a certain level of excitement. Creative ideas flurry through when Mercury activates, and you'll want to take detailed notes of your visions as they arise. Now is also a good time to consider how technology can aid your artistic pursuits. Slip into the weekend by doing something decadent under tonight's quarter moon, but be mindful of your budget.

Are you hankering for a little fun and longing for a little experimentation and perhaps even childish play? Tempting as these prospects are, you will have to ignore them. Libra, you simply don't have the time, at least not today. You will be too busy coping with numerous little emergencies that crop up and having to justify your decisions throughout the day.

Hmmm...  will see what draws my attention.  Stay positive and active.  Keep a good thought for that.  Have a good Friday.
