6 a.m. and back inside after initial shoveling!

My broom saw its last snow work...it is now a "whisk broom".  Will need to go back to ACE hardware and get a new one before clean the apt day on Wednesday.  I did check blog.  9-5-2020 was when I "invested" in new broom.  Guess I got my money's worth.  I do a lot of sweeping inside and out.  

No reason on Main St to wait until first light for shoveling.  Streetlights and light on my building made it seem like day time.  I think I went out a bit after 4 a.m.  Sister #1 had said she thought landlord was ski patrolling on Monday so I wanted to get ahead of it. He now has an Alfa Romeo so there is NO way I am going near that with any utensil to get the snow off. But he was clear to leave by 6 a.m.  BUT I found out later - he ski patrolled Sunday and will patrol today...oh well.  My car was pretty crusty with the rain/sleet/snow transition yesterday but I did not want to be running the car long enough to defrost this early.  Retail side of building got done with a bit of sand and salt as there will be no melting today with the cold.  I did put my car out on Main St in the sun to defrost for most of the hours of light.  

Good call from niece #1 yesterday.  Sister #1 checked in.  Landlady delivered right out of the oven peanut butter cookies right in time for my "linner" dessert.  Was not interested in watching Inauguration activities so I got in bed to read at 7 p.m.  Thought I would wake up early but slept through to 4:30 a.m.  

Today Shoprite - short list - and if they have no brooms, Ace Hardware today.  Walk to library is the extent of my walking today - treated surfaces only today. And might hang around in the heated space for a bit. :)  Run dishwasher, load of clothes.  

You may be tempted to rush through a creative project like there is no tomorrow but if you do it is odds on that you will make a mistake that needs to be corrected later on. You are not on the clock, so pace yourself sensibly.

Don't see paperwork or project that needs doing today...will keep an eye out. Have a good Tuesday.  Days of the week feel a bit jumbled with sisters' visit this past weekend and Monday "holiday" (everyday is holiday-esque in retirement)  :)
