"Guidance" abounds :)

Interesting poem this a.m. from Australian friend.  Heavy poem in the same message as being in the town where Keith Urban got his start...obviously the message ran the gamut. :)  Lots of former school #2 people in my dream last night who I was running into as I wandered about town.  Talked to TX friend yesterday.  Lots on her plate - third grandchild due on St Patrick's day.  Due to the daughter who lost her first grandchild in Feb 2024.  Friend is off to her son's house next week to celebrate the one year birthday of her second grandchild.  First and second born on the same day in 2024.  First died on Feb 12.  They are getting ready to sell their home in TX.  Move to their second home in NM where daughter, sister, brother and lots of friends lived.  It is where she and her husband started their married life.  They will make LOTS of money on their TX house.  They do have to get a renter out of second home.  Long story goes along with the person renting and not being the best keeping current on rent.  AND TX friend needs a new car.  Her car and mine are the same age, but she puts LOTS of miles on hers.  We will see where all her journeys take her.  

Did hear from the owner of the restaurant I wanted to get a dishwashing job at...no DW jobs open but owner made an assumption that someone my age who raised a son could be helpful to the new chef in getting food prepped...had to burst that bubble for her.  Told her to please keep me in mind for non-food prep related jobs.  I am thinking they will start getting busy once things warm up and the outdoor patio space opens up overlooking the river.  Fingers crossed.  

I am also fighting with the concept of "RMD"...think they need to rethink the numbers on that as people live longer and the markets might be on a tear the next 4 years...Should be a choice made by each individual based on specific individual conditions and needs.  I resonated in an article I read yesterday about one of the biggest "cost saving choices" that really turned into the biggest "cost" to an individual.  Not getting a financial advisor.  I have made no choice or bad choices in that category and I know how costly that has been to me.  Might have to dip my toe back into that realm with this 2025 RMD business.  I will hope DOGE does not implode before it makes some big changes that shake things up.  Bizarre concept and actors but so needed in this world.  

Today I will try to get a full walk in.  This has been a very interesting post trip re-entry with trying to get back in a rhythm on anything.  Did watch my Wed shows yesterday morning.  But cut walk short.  I thought it was "warming up" and it was, BUT that meant 29 degree high rather than in single digits or teens.  :)

Make it a point of principle to be nice to everyone you meet, even to people who are rarely nice to you. Someone you don’t think of as a friend may surprise you and do something wonderfully helpful. If you make an effort then so will they.
