Full day even with all the rain!

Picture of the flower bridge and the arrangement sister #1 underwrites in memory of our parents.  Took this on Tuesday on way to Shoprite.  Waiting for the "close up" family friend took with her fancy phone on Wednesday.

Yesterday I had set the bar very low with the forecasted "nor'easter" of rain and wind...But then the rain was lighter so activity level stepped up.  I did some office paperwork reshuffling, called and took care of step one of RMD #2, walked to money lady to drop off my check, stopped by library to pick up latest Rendon book.  Back and forth with cousin about the old parrot his father's/my mother's family had for many years.  Cousin had written about "Polly" and it came in the mail yesterday.  Had a good back and forth on email with him with more details and "lore".

Started the morning re-setting up my free ZOOM account so I could chat with NC friends who are planning a September New England trip.  I need to do some more research to give them some route ideas.  Fun to talk to them and think about their visit!

Listened to two great videos yesterday!  So many smart people out there and who have been at their work for years - or not so many years but with such dedication.  Nudges for Prognosis and Comfort Care in the ICU: Kate Courtright, Scott Halpern, & Jaspal Singh  I had not heard of the "nudge" concept, but I loved its application on this discussion.  Allowing Patients to Die: Louise Aronson and Bill Andereck  I have been a fan girl of Dr. Aronson since I read her book Elderhood in 2020 and now I am completely taken by Dr. Andereck.  I will be listening to that one again.  So much said in an hour.  Those GeriPal interviewers are the best.

Today nothing on my paper calendar.  Have step 2 to do on RMD #2.  I will be reaching out to the nudges' speakers to see if they would consider contributing to the FEN blog.  Walk.  Watching my Wednesday shows.  And Thursday now that I realize it is Friday.  :)

You want to get out and about and have a fun time but some people think you should be tackling more serious issues. Maybe they are right but you really don’t care. A moment in which you don’t smile is, to you, a moment wasted.

Sparks fly as the moon continues through Aries, dear Libra, putting you in a flirty headspace. You'll have a gift for putting others at ease, but you should recognize when you've ventured into people-pleasing territory. Understand that there's a time to nurture loved ones and a time to focus on yourself. While you may not have the luxury of embracing a full-fledged self-care day, you can be mindful of spending time with people who fill your cup. Push for new connections when Mars activates this afternoon, flexing your networking muscles. Romance takes over once Venus activates, putting you in the mood for all things sweet.

Your inner power and awareness should be acute today, Libra. Some intense dreams and revelations could come from deep within, allowing you to release old traumas and phobias, and enabling you to move ahead with more confidence. Physical energy is high, though you may feel you need more sleep than usual. Your intuition is also sharp, enabling you to be more in touch with others. Use it!

We will see where my energy takes me.  Have a good Friday.
