Interesting up and down Thursday

 Have to smile and cry thinking about yesterday.  But to speak to the "777".  My walk was to the Community Center to vote on town budget - it passed 714 to 571.  Always sad when that small a number determines the end, but I can only vote once, for me...  Number of eligible voters is 8,ooo-ish.  Counting people who own property in town but don't live in town as a factor.  Last year at May vote - it was 689 for and 944 against, 21% of the 7,924 eligible.  So there was more rounds of voting.  So after voting, picked up W&T book club book for June - The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters.  Hope company will not cause me to miss this last W&T before we take the summer hiatus.  Then I walked to Shoprite to get my $2.99 eggs with my digital coupon.  That is where I "hit" the 777. $7.77  Eggs plus a card to send my brother.  Will work on that this weekend. Then home to have my landlord knock on my door to deliver two MD packages from my son that were delivered to the hairdo place downstairs AND see if he could drop by on Saturday and clean the back windows...I told him I was going to try, but the flip down and out windows were beyond me.  He said it was a two person job but I have not been able to enlist a second person since I got back in January.  :/  Oh well.  He said he would pop in on Saturday and be my second.  :)  

Worked on some blog stuff and wrote son about the Michigan connections I learned about at Wednesday EOLD presentation.  Hope he will scout it out for me.  FYI:  the books he sent me for Mother's Day - The Fourth Way by PD Ouspensky -The Fourth Way teaches how to increase and focus attention and energy in various ways, and to minimize daydreaming and absent-mindedness. Egyptologists tell us that obelisks are granite towers that symbolize a ray of the sun―a megalithic symbol of the Sun God Ra, later to be called Aton. Son book gifts always stretch my thinking to say the least.  

Heard back from the money person.  Will meet with her next week.  Downloaded my latest statements to see what I have to RMD about.  

A smile part of yesterday was me asking a NC friend if he and wife were off to Ireland for 2026 UNC football game and he reported out that he was going to another Emerald Isle (NC beach) as of Saturday.

Today - rainy so we will see about walking, have some writing to do, going back and forth with sister #6's daughter/youngest of the nieces re talking to her mother about will, POA, and health care stuff.  #6 is 64 this year and middle of the road health condition mostly due to overweight and her decades drink of choice of TAB cola and diet coke now.  :/  Will see where their talks take them.  Sister #4 did go to someone to talk about the buy out offer she had gotten for her LTC policy.  She got her answer AND the guy said go ahead with putting in the pool in her backyard.  #4 turned 68 this year.
