Writing Monday

Got introduced to a new podcast yesterday.  This was the intro label.  Then I walked.  Then I got writing.  Then to PA DC.  Thought-full day.  One thumbs up and one down on my writing I submitted to blog.  Will see if third person chimes in.  Son emailed to say Saturday event went well and he has a connection to one of the artists involved in the July event I was telling him about.  Mark Cuban is scheduled to headline the Global Citizen NOW: Detroit summit in Detroit on July 10, 2025. The summit, presented by Bedrock, will focus on the future of cities and urban revitalization. Other notable speakers include Wyclef Jean, Marcus Samuelsson, and many more, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The event is part of Global Citizen's expansion into the US outside of New York.

Poem I wrote for cousin with what came to me after her father died.

The Man We Are Honoring Today.

Many times of late I have thought about cosmic dominoes.
How many forks in the road or choices made have led us to this day.

Many find themselves gathered today - in person and in spirit.
Deep in thought about the decades of those ripples in the pond of life.

Look to your right, look to your left - and of course to the heavens
All with the thought, "How many cosmic dominos brought me here?"

"What would life have looked like with one less or one more domino?"
Replace "what if?", "why me?" with "How do I show gratitude for what has come to be?

But with thinking aside and leading with the heart,
We are gathered to be grateful that the man we honor came into our lives.

All gathered - in person or in spirit - with a timestamp unique to their relationship.
With a book of memories unique to the where, when and how of their meeting.

But with all the uniqueness that might exist in that where, when and how,
what is common to each of us is that he is the connective tissue.

Honor that connection today and commit to deeper and wider connections going forward.
Cosmic dominoes will continue to fall for us all.  But that is a call to action, not a wait and see.

How to deal with all the thoughts and feelings we are having today?  Do something, it will lead to something. ❤️

As I said - thought-full and outward facing day yesterday.  Today - Shoprite, walk, CA DC, IOWA DC.  Missing sister #1's virtual house party and Cape Cod DC.  I will keep within myself today.

You cannot hope to be in control of events every minute of every day, so stop being so hard on yourself and ease back a little over the next 24 hours. A more hands-off approach will work better for you both at home and at work.

Mars' debut into Virgo this morning brings major internal shifts, dear Libra, activating your solar twelfth house. This energy is all about taking time to work on yourself, asking you to focus heavily on what you need to thrive throughout the coming weeks, Meditating on your behaviors, and replacing unhelpful ones with healthier alternatives. Meanwhile, the Moon moves through Pisces, forming a sweet connection with Venus, your planetary ruler. This energy is perfect for embracing teamwork as the building blocks for strong partnerships. Meaningful discussions around your professional path could manifest this evening when Luna aspects Mercury, so be open to advice from peers.

You may feel emotionally stuck, Libra. Perhaps you feel your sensitive, loving nature isn't fully appreciated. Today is energetic and lively, but you'd rather sit home and relax. Your best strategy is to do just that. Why is it so hard for some people to see that doing nothing is really doing something - relaxing? Don't let anyone talk you into something you don't want to do.

I will do just that.  Have a good Tuesday.
