Long walk, long swim Sunday

Did some blog work, then off for walk to Unionville.  Bear crossed my path, but luckily he or she was focused on getting to the river not bothered by the people on the trail.  So 2 hour walk, then one hour swim.  Talked about a retirement center in DC with one of the swimming ladies.  Wondering if at 85 she thought about moving somewhere closer to one of her kids.  No plan as we spoke yesterday.  She is a widow living in a pretty big home.  Listened to a podcast by the homesteader in NC.  Big conversation about the legislative session and giving chemical companies immunity from lawsuits.  Not sure where it landed but the wife is passionate about it.  

Reached out to former co worker in Houston.  Her husband's family has a homestead in Hunt TX and has for over 100 years.  All are safe and husband, his son and grandson are headed up on Thursday to see how things are.  All indication is that they were not flooded.  Another co worker's granddaughter was rescued on July 4 per the co worker I reached out to.  

Nothing on paper calendar for today.  Walk and swim.  More than halfway through latest Crais.  

If someone you have feelings for seems a bit distant as the new week begins it may be because they think you have been neglecting them. Make it your business to remind them that everything you do is for their benefit as well as your own.
