A run of "555's" :)

There was a good chunk of time between when I woke up and 5:55 p.m. yesterday, but I will take it.  Also got a 5:55 p.m. the night before.  I have been talking about leveling up, change of the seasons, taking the opportunity to push the reset button.  But LOTS coming at me.

Not only getting up WAY too early and not going back to sleep, 3 hour lunch with the swimming ladies to close out the season (next Sunday last day), no swim yesterday because of rain and thunder, family friend changing day of week for walk to this morning.  Sister #1 saying that gentleman caller is coming with her so staying at my apt won't work.  I told her we could give it a try, but she said hotel.  All area airbnbs booked up.  Good news is gentleman caller will treat for Rooftop restaurant.  I will be thinking of that between now and 5:30 p.m. on Friday.  :)

So yesterday was a day.  Waking up close to the day before.  :)  Read, cleaned apt, walked, lunch with swimming ladies - 12-3 p.m.  Pool never opened due to thunder.  Yuck.  Oh well.  Battery died at 15 minutes before Lansing DC ended last night.  I am trying to think about the power cord I used in the main room.  Trying to decide how to approach the computer issue I will have in October 2025 when my machine becomes "unserviceable".  May reach out to computer guy next week to see what he is recommending to his other people with old machines.

Today walk with family friend. Pool.  Would love to make some real progress on latest book.  Something about it has caught me.  "The Emperor of Gladness" is a novel by Ocean Vuong, focusing on themes of found family, second chances, and the complexities of American life, particularly for those on the fringes of society. The story centers around Hai, a young Vietnamese American struggling with addiction and estrangement, who finds an unlikely bond with Grazina, an elderly Lithuanian woman with dementia. Together, they navigate their circumstances, forming a "circumstantial family" alongside their coworkers at a diner, who are also facing their own hardships.  Like that new term - circumstantial family"  Nothing else on paper calendar.

I am very glad I did not stock up more for sister #1 staying with me this weekend.  As I shared with my PD buddy who is my early morning correspondent when he is working overnights. He is doing tequila and pizza with some of his friends tonight.  Sister #1 is traveling with gentleman caller after a surprise change in plans...Gentleman caller is looking at another Jaguar locally to me...you know how I feel about that for an 83 yr old person who just FINALLY divested himself of the fancy car he bought decades ago.  People in general, men specifically leave me scratching my head...AARGH.  😎  BUT I do think your group tonight is solid company.  He has a good group around him.

Although a relationship may be going through a difficult time there is no reason at all why you should give up on it. On the contrary, if you make an effort to iron out your differences today you can forge an even closer emotional bond.

The Aries moon and Chiron unite to balance the heart and mind early this morning, dearest Libra. This celestial refreshment offers clarity about what the heart desires, allowing you to make crucial decisions or commitments once Luna drifts into Taurus. Be mindful of how you change as circumstances shift once Pluto is activated. Although some sacrifices may be necessary, avoid making concessions that negatively impact your core values or confidence. Catch up on social trends while Mercury and Mars align, bringing your flair to the latest crazes. Steer clear of online drama later today when Luna squares Mercury and avoid oversharing.

You're able to get quite a bit accomplished today, Libra, as long as you're the one taking action. Don't let other people be in charge. Your power may come in energetic, erratic bursts, so use this to your advantage. Maintain a level head and you will be able to cut through your day's work like a warm knife through butter. Whatever you do, don't give up.

Life like a warm knife through butter...I will see how that feels today.  :)  Have a good Thursday.
