Lots of memory lane stuff yesterday :)

Back and forth with former school #1 co worker.  And that led to reaching out to lady who lives in the house I grew up in (that I can see from my apt) to see if she would let one of my sisters see the house even though in 20 years she has not allowed me.  I know I am an odd duck to many.  :)

Then an afternoon conversation with my son about addressing some his household concerns and signing up for "boomer AAA" membership. He and father are going gang busters getting all his properties (and vehicles) in the right state/places.  But also had time to go to a Wednesday Tigers' game.

So yesterday - writing, listening to three songs - one about homestead, one that former co worker brought up about son's time in NYC while we were working together, and one about guy getting dumped.  First one went to our family home current owner, second to son, third to son and PD buddy.  I am not usually a music person but these three landed hard yesterday.  Miranda Lambert - The House That Built Me  JAY-Z - Empire State Of Mind featuring Alicia Keys  Jordan Davis - Learn The Hard Way.  Then walk, with a stop by PD to leave a birthday note for the Chief.  Then pool.  Then on phone with son and he sent me a pic of before and after assist from AAA for a vehicle that needed to be moved.  No "unavailable number" calls last night.  Son said not to worry.  Swimming ladies at bridge meeting so on my own at pool on Thursday.

August 8, 1988 - always flash back to Houston.  We celebrated a new office on Kirby Dr. on that date back in the day.  That is what I was brought on to get done in January 1988.  Moving from Houston Home and Garden Magazine to Greenwood King Properties.  That just got me going down a rabbit hole about the interesting overlap of Connecticut and Houston around that magazine.  Can't make this stuff up.  Buyer of HH&G had a granddaughter at my former school #2 when I first came home.  I was at HH&G from 1984-1987.  The guard at HH&G was always threatening to call Child Services due to the time I dragged my son to work with me...I would bring him to the office before his school opened up.  We had to get on the HOV lane early to make the trek from Katy TX to close to downtown Houston. (18 months to 12 years old at the same school that only closed the week between Christmas and New Years!  Perfect place for me, just a couple of blocks from office.  Open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and I took advantage of every minute of their offering.)

But back to today - write, walk, pool.  Nothing on paper calendar until Tuesday.

Mars in your sign links with Uranus and Saturn over the next 48 hours, endowing you with both energy and ambition. If you want to do something big, something that makes the world take notice of you, now is the time. Act swiftly and decisively.

Don't allow attempts to impress peers to trigger inauthenticity, dearest Libra. As the Aquarius moon and Mercury Retrograde face off, social pressures may rise, but staying true to yourself should remain a top priority. Roadblocks within matters of the heart could brew frustrations as Mars opposes Saturn, though you're cosmically poised to gain wisdom and creative inspiration from these hurdles. Alchemize your frustrations into something beautiful by feeding passions and refusing to let others bring you down. Your brilliance intensifies as midnight grows near and Luna gears up for the Full Moon, giving you an edge when it comes to turning heads.

Today is a very expansive day for you, Libra. Long-term projects are coming into focus. There's a huge windfall coming your way. Your ego should experience an extra boost and your relationships should go extremely well. This would be a great time to attend to your financial investments and think about putting money into real estate or remodeling your home.

Cosmic feels big...  :)  We will see what I do with it.  Have a good Friday.
