Another "late" morning - 5:26 a.m. :)

Lots came to mind yesterday at to where do I turn when peace is needed.  Sept 11, Kirk assassination, and then the closest to home - the death of my NC friends' mother/mother in law.  She had lived an incredible and long life.  100+ years.  My memory is the homemade bread/from the garden tomatoes/Duke mayo sandwiches she brought into my life back in a summer day when I lived in NC.  Not the only memory but always the first one that comes to mind.  NC friends are still doing their NE tour, so I will see them next week.

Balance of yesterday - great Coffee with the Cops.  Left the apt at 9:30 a.m., did not get home until almost 2 p.m. with program and wandering after. Tragic stories of how some elders in our town have been taken advantage of via scams.  Also found out that one of the officers who started when I was police secretary was promoted to lieutenant in another town's force yesterday.  I emailed him to share how proud I was of him.

Watched a very unsettling podcast - incredibly informative but unsettling.  Medical Billing and Coding with the Billing Boys  on geripal.org.  As a non-doctor person, I do not know how the system worked, but "the coding" of what happens on any doctor visit...no wonder the admin costs of medical practices are so high.  Forget sending your kid to Flatiron School, find or start a place that trains people to code medical bills.  I don't care about most doctors making money, BUT if coding helps support palliative or geriatric practices, I have to support that.  OR will AI save them?  I am completely not in touch with how to make life work in this day and time in our human development.

Another thing that got my attention was - Too Poor to Die: The Hidden Realities of Dying in the Margins by Amy Shea.  Dying when not privileged is another thing that sticks in my craw right up there with the medical industrial complex.

Also writing an email to our town CAO about my EDA meeting experience.  Suggesting a HBU analysis - Highest and Best Use of personnel and resources of the town's Land Use department.

So now I need to visit my emails again this a.m. 5 simple steps to calm yourself down from NYT.  :)

Did smile this a.m. when I saw that sister #1 had earned some points yesterday so I converted them into "dollars" for her next visit.  It will be a fun month for me watching her S&S excursions.  Doesn't take much to entertain me. :)  On to today - meeting former co worker this a.m. at 9 a.m. for a walk.  Nothing else on my paper calendar.

If there is something you wish to discuss with a friend or co-worker today then open your mouth and spit it out. You will find that your fear of starting an argument is completely groundless as they are thinking along the same lines as you.

Pull from the qualities you respect in others, dear Libra, as the Taurus moon and Saturn align. Recognize how growth, maturity, and success all play into one another, taking responsibility for your dreams through strategy and accountability. Grand schemes brew beneath the surface while Mercury and Jupiter connect, encouraging you to gather ideas and resources for your next bold move. Allow visions to take on a new life, fully considering your situation and what is currently within reach. Luck is on your side once Luna enters Gemini, aspecting Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto as evening grows near. This celestial dance sets off a chain of auspicious events, setting you toward adventure.

Some rather shocking information could affect your current living situation and cause some upset in your household today, Libra. This might cause a lot of worry, although the situation probably isn't as dire as it seems. Calm everyone down and view the situation objectively. It's better to find solutions than to become angry.

Mixed messages this a.m.  I will keep eyes open as to what I let in.  "Luck is on your side" - I will keep that in front of mind.  Keep a good thought for my day.  Have a good Friday.
