Fortune cookies

Top was my cousin's, bottom mine.  Will keep the good thought for 2026. :)  Yesterday was a rainy, grey day.  Back and forth with the doula from northern CA who will be working in RI in the near future.  Did a load of wash.  Headed to a mall I had not been to in decades.  Cousin wanted to meet somewhere we could walk out of the rain and have lunch. PF Chang's got the lunch vote.  Today - Shoprite, run dishwasher, walk.  Walk will depend on what I feel under foot when I go to Shoprite.  Rain yesterday, flash freeze overnight.  Oh well.

Sister #6 checked in.  All going along swimmingly...but sister #1 is still there.  Daughter not only left her dog with her mother who just broke her wrist, but also left 2 loads of wash...checked with my cousin who knows my niece's landlord to confirm that they had a washer & dryer in their unit...and they do.  Another Oh well.

Nothing on my paper calendar until Saturday.  Will lay low for sure.  Not above freezing in the forecast for as far as they can see...

Tempers are likely to flare today and it’s possible that some things that are said will need to be unsaid later on if harmony is to be restored. If that doesn’t appeal to you then stay in control and don’t say anything provocative in the first place.

Establishing trustworthy partnerships will be at the top of your list, dearest Libra, as the Taurus Moon intensifies your feelings about others. Though challenges could arise, you'll quickly learn who is in your corner and ready to lend a hand. Luckily, control won't slip from your fingers for long while Jupiter stirs midafternoon. Your ability to stay calm and focused earns you professional clout, and an enticing offer may result. If you sense negotiations are in your near future, assess your responsibilities, experience, and worth once Luna aspects Saturn later tonight, and prepare to drive a hard bargain.

Plans for a party or group gathering of some kind could take up much of your time and energy, Libra. You might have a lot of letters to write, phone calls to make, or other communications to take care of, but this is likely to prove to be a great excuse for getting in touch with your friends. Today could prove to be a kind of party-before-the-party, which is right up your alley. Enjoy your day!

No parties for me, and I will lay low in quiet and calm.  Had to laugh yesterday when I was talking about solitude versus loneliness and my "no more than six".  Thought I had "discovered" the latter...guess not.

A group of six is often ideal for gatherings because it balances diverse perspectives with intimacy, allowing everyone to participate meaningfully without fragmentation into subgroups, fostering better connection, managing social dynamics (avoiding cliques/loafing), and fitting within human cognitive limits for tracking interactions and ensuring sufficient "airtime" for each voice. It's large enough for varied ideas but small enough for comfort, unlike larger groups that lead to decreased participation and increased conflict.

And I am all over solitude:  Solitude is the chosen, positive state of being alone for reflection, creativity, or peace. Solitude is a rich, intentional experience for self-renewal, offering clarity and focus.  :)

Have a good Tuesday.
