Getting ready

Heyo :) They magically found the wallet yesterday in the trash of the venue.  I don’t really believe that but I’ve got it back though :) Hope you’re doing ok with the weather.  Looks brutal in Detroit today.  Update on "stolen wallet" yesterday.  Guess son thinks it was an inside job and then the robbers either were not impressed by the contents or realized the son was a good guy...whatever, wallet is back in his possession. Learning about that lock feature of credit cards these days was a plus for me.  

Locally, I did turn two baseboards on last night - bathroom and northside of big room.  Very comfortable this a.m.  Will probably turn off at first light, but high is forecast for 11 degrees for the next couple of days so we will see.  

Yesterday - watched Thursday shows, long walk, went to DPW to fill up my sand/salt bucket.  Glad again nobody saw me schlepping it up to the 2nd floor of building. Stopped by library/warming center and picked up a couple more books.  Grippando Right to Remain and a non-fiction Aflame: Learning from Silence by Pico Iyer.  Now I have plenty of reading to get me through this cold snap and shoveling.  I am encouraged that sister #4 and I will be able to make it to sister #6's next weekend.  We will see how the week develops.  

Today - short walk.  Nothing else planned.  I am glad I have Albany CA DC tomorrow night as a distraction to what will be happening outside at that time.

Guess the cosmos has not heard about my moratorium on any gathering of more than 6 people.  I see myself on my own today.  I will see if the landlord notices that I refilled the buckets.  No worries about any love entanglements.  :)  Do feel good about letting go of all that happens in son's life knowing how capable he is - unlike his mother - of letting life come to him and knowing that life happens AND win some, learn some.  He does not come from a mindset of scarcity or fear. Uplifting for me to know - and for the first time, be able to accept.  Have a good Saturday.  Have already heard from electric and cable companies so here is to no outages over the next 24-48 hours.  Fingers crossed.
