Yesterday - Shoprite $33/$17 day, 17 degrees on the way over 13 on the way home... Watched a great Tim Ferris podcast with Steve Young. Good discussion. Abbreviated walk. It was chilly. Ran dishwasher. 1 p.m. CA DC. First third Tuesday without IOWA in quite a while. Change = Chance moment. From DC yesterday - "beautifully different" were words for change that were brought up. Also a lady talked about how she memorializes her mother each year on her birthday. Goes to a not fancy restaurant and tips the server the age her mother would be that year...now over 100 so quite a tip for a small town wait staff person. That inspired many in the room to think about how to be beautifully different in how they honor ancestors. To bed "on time" and reading my book "chance".
Today - family friend said she might be up for an abbreviated walk today after her operation on Jan 13. We will see if the temp keeps her indoors. Sunny and 11 degrees at our usual walk start time forecast... 
I heard for the first time that in my part of the world - Jan 20-24 are the coldest days.I think I will be turning the heat on for a bit over the weekend. :) Good to know and that it is all up from here - fingers crossed. Minutes and degrees. Noon EOLD. 2 p.m. Kessler webinar. 8 p.m. SDE discussion with founder and his wife. Later than I usually sign up for but will see if it keeps my interest. And cleaning apartment.
Sister #6 called yesterday on her way to school. She is allowed to drive - one mile distance - now. But the fact she tried to shovel...not encouraging as to her recuperation plan. :/ Heard from son. He sold one of his lots. It was one that was not contiguous to the street he lives on so he didn't have a need to hold on.

I have new hope about post Jan 24 as to weather and I will see where I turn for being beautifully different in how I am thinking about something. Adapt and evolve. Or as Steve Young kept saying yesterday - learn and grow, have a dream AND a plan as his father used to tell him, stay curious. Quite a life that started on the "gold coast" of my home state.
