My big event of the day that I shared about with people who "know my food shopping ways" - Sr Disc Tuesday during the kick off of Shoprite Can-Can Sale. But back to real life - Biggest shopping week of my year - Spent $80/Saved $70. In the PTL category had $18 left on gift card sister gave me so hard money purchase was $64. Phew! Enough soup, tuna, ramen and butter to get me through the winter!!! AND XLarge eggs for $2.29? Splurged on some hand cream...it was either invest in hand cream or bandaids. :) Also Pearl Milling - formerly Aunt Jemima - mix for $1.99. And with sale and digital coupon - finally got my toilet paper at a less than OSJL price. Good morning all around. Check-out time 6.36 a.m. I knew all those cans and old people were going to make check-out more time consuming. :) Glad I had done my recon on Sunday. With all that is going on in the world...when the going gets tough, I go to Shoprite.
So yesterday - run dishwasher, Shoprite, walk with a stop included at the local Commission on Aging discussion with town CAO about change to come with the Senior Center/Social Services office. Critical mass of old people gathered...OLD being the operative word and it was a HUGE item for my daily gratitude list that I am me... Then I sat in on a program - Zoom link for FCSC Dementia and End-of-Life Options Webinar and that got me notice for a Jan 17 program by one of my idols - Dr. Thaddeus Pope. I signed up. Yesterday I hit a 5:55 p.m. as I logged into the Colorado program and then hit a 3:33 a.m. when I woke up. I will remind myself of those angel number "meanings". :)
Today is looking strong too. :) Clean apt, walk with family friend, EOLD Nervous System Support and later The 1st Wednesday SDE Sharing Group. I am intrigued by the Shared Death Experience group...
Going to be above freezing for the first time in quite awhile so I will see how that feels to shed one or two layers on my ventures outside. Very happy about that. Am very concerned about what I will see when I get my electric bill next week... I was greeted by the sanding truck from Town at 3:33 a.m. Last night was a mixed precip night so they erred on the side of a possible icing overnight before it "warmed" up today.
Don’t sit at home waiting for good things to happen – get out into the world and make them happen. Venus, your ruling planet, is on good terms with energy planet Mars today, so even the smallest of efforts will yield significant rewards.
Lay old patterns to rest that are no longer serving you, dear Libra. As the Virgo Moon aligns with Mercury and the Nodes of Fate, it's important to start the day with healthy choices in mind. Most of your interactions will unfold in private, giving you a chance to emotionally connect. As the Capricorn Sun, Venus, and Mars unite in your solar fourth house, you'll feel exceptionally loyal to improving your home life. Bring more fun and passion into your space, creating structures that support this agenda. New strategies emerge when Luna aspects Jupiter tonight, leveling up your professional standing.
Think of yourself as a marathon runner. You have a very long distance to travel, but the sweetness is not just to be found in crossing the finish line, but rather in relishing all the sights along the way. While your head today is overflowing with plans and ideas, you begin to feel deflated when you begin to consider all the logistics of realizing these dreams. Fret not, Libra. The planets have blessed you with an energy level that is equal to the task, so go ahead and get started!
Having run 2 marathons, I know the benefit of slow and steady wins the race...good reminder that I can learn lessons from "issues" that arise. (i.e. puking up my guts on mile 17 of my inaugural marathon because of a start that was way too fast for the pace I trained for). :) I am trainable.
