Split day - homebody and out and about

Another day when weather played a big part of guiding as to what to do.  Sun in windows changed the climate of the apt and I sat and finished Two Rivers sitting in my window.  Looks like T Greenwood has a lot of books, might need to try another one.  And do need to check out Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier based on book club chatter on Saturday.  I did go out and clear off snow that had blown up against the building.  While the sun shines on Main St I want to give natural melting a fighting chance.  :)  Started Skylark by Paula McLain last night. 

At 1 p.m. I headed up to swimming lady's house.  No NYT delivered so no newspaper to give her, but she made cookies so I took her up on her offer for tea and stayed until 3:30 p.m.  Good conversation.  Brought some wood in from outside for her wood stove and headed home to find soup and focaccia bread on my stoop from landlady!  Perfect end to a chilly day.  Will see if the weather allows for a full walk route today...might be one day away still. Did turn the bathroom baseboard off at noon and did not turn it back on later.  Amazing how much the sun soaks into the plaster walls and keeps it comfortable - on my comfort meter.  

On today's paper calendar - FEN blog meeting at 2 p.m.  ZEN DC tonight.  Not sure where the blog is going under new leadership.  It is always all about the people for me, so we will see if I feel "connected" to their new mission.  Did hear from former school #2 boss - Dance recital will be Thursday.  Missed it last year for the first time in many years.  Looking forward to it this year.  

I did not really have any dog in the fight for the super bowl last night.  Sad that Maye did not win but that is my only thought.

Other social obligations could get in your way, however. You might have made these other commitments a long time ago and they may be business related. It might be far later than you'd hoped before you're able to see your friend. Better late than never!

No special friend, so no worry there...as to people and struggles...I will keep an eye on any developments in that arena.  :)  Have a good Monday.
