Bench

In the spirit of the weekend, on Friday I walked by "the bench" in the upper cemetery.  Nobody is buried there, but it put in after my father died.  The spot overlooks the town we grew up in and where I live.  No flags on the upper section, but both parents were veterans.  Coast Guard for mother and Army Air Corp for father.  Savannah GA for mother, "the hump" - India to China flights - for father.  But with all that said, 8 a.m. they will decide whether rain will cause the cancellation of the parade.  I was not planning to watch so it will make the day more manageable for me to get my day done if they do cancel.  Plan is - cat tending, walk, ALDI, wash clothes, cat, ZEN DC. All will flow easier without the parade which routes right in front of my apt and overlaps on walk routes.  :) Need to decide what day I will clean apt since we will be doing a road trip on Wednesday and one on Thursday...

Yesterday - cat, abbreviated walk (Burlington and back) due to cold rain, Albany CA DC.  Tomorrow - walk with family friend, cash check from poll work?, CA DC, meet up with sister #1 and friend from Paraguay.  Wednesday - Florence Griswold Museum, lunch - Hallmark?, beach house of my landlord and landlady and sister #1's classmate. Will see if I get to GA DC on Wed night.  Thursday - road trip to Willimantic to visit with Paraguayan friend's "sister" from her exchange year here in the US in the 1968-69 school year.  Cat twice a day thrown in to each of these days.  

This morning started - Pride and Pleasure: The Schuyler Sisters in an Age of Revolution by Amanda Vaill is a 2025 biography that tells the story of Angelica and Elizabeth Schuyler, focusing on their lives, loves, and divergent paths during the American Revolution, moving them from the background of Alexander Hamilton's story to the center stage of American history. I am feeling more comfortable reading about history these days.  

Now the Sun is moving in your favor, those restrictions that were holding you back will lose their power and soon you will be hurrying ahead again. Don’t move too fast though, or you could miss some interesting sights along the way.

 Issues involving fashion, magazines, and the spoken or written word will all slowly begin to take a turn in a positive direction today, Libra. You may find that these things have been somewhat obscured lately, or at least their development has been more backward than forward. The good news is that the tide is turning. You should notice over the next few weeks that things are getting back on track.

I will keep the good thought about "getting back on track" - cat and company between now and son's visit in June...throwing me some curve balls. Feel I got some signs in dream last night...but no recall this a.m.  Oh well.  Have a good Monday.  

PS:  looking back at what I wrote a year ago today - I mentioned that I was watching to see if we had 350,000 visitors to the GDS blog by June 1 2025...as of this a.m. at 687,690.  :)
