Lots catching my eye and mind yesterday...

Made a comment when I saw this on LinkedIn yesterday - "Go West old man(woman).  What is old is new again."  2030.  Interesting map to me.  But the rest of the day - Clean apt, walk, EOLD, Lansing.  Today - think I will call and make an appt for my annual oil change - 1000 miles and change driven in the past year.  Will also see if they have any McGyver type approach to keeping my car on the road for a bit longer.  Walk, swim.  Later today:  Live Event: Where Will You Live – and with Whom – in Life’s Second Half?  by Santa Fe MEA people.  Hope it will not feel overly "of privilege".  Finished This Land is Your Land book this a.m.  Family friend gave me a dozen eggs, two books, and the 250 Celebration Smithsonian mag yesterday.  My beside table - and refrigerator - is well stocked.  

TX/NM friend on road trip back from Michigan via Atlanta to CS and then ABQ.  She does my 1000 miles in a week.  :)  More power to her.  By the end of the month she will be edging very close to a family compound in ABQ. Parents, kids, grandkids all in the same town.  THAT is a total and complete win in this day and time.  

NC friends are in their new home.  Degree of "in" will develop from barely to totally - much quicker than it might have appeared to be last night.  Big accomplishment and big change.  Their number of addresses in last 40 years and mine...a bit different.  But that is why they have been a port in the storm to so many for so many years.  That will continue to be the same at their new address because of who they are not where they are.  

Interesting divergence in me, them, and TX/NM friend.  Case study to take into my zoom today.  :)

Swimming ladies playing bridge this afternoon so I am on my own for swimming.  Not a problem.
