Ups and downs day

Saybrook Fish House will no longer be my go-to.  LaSalle Market will replace.  College friend came to town and we went to SFH for lunch and the service was bad, no salad, stale bread in the bread basket...not sure what the waiter felt about the two of us, but he did not make one thing work for our lunch and even seemed to be hell bent on it being the worse - and no walk around town because lunch took too long.  Oh well.  I don't have many ops for entertaining but I will put this in my memory file to keep me from making that mistake again.  Lunch there with son in June was perfect...in timing and content.  

But otherwise - the day - did my recreational walk, lunch, "late" transportational walk to/from pool and family friend's daughter and two of her boys at the pool so I spent my time with them.  Talked to sister #4 on the phone pretty much the whole walk home.  She has been busy with her summer work and entertaining around her new pool.  We made some tentative plans for Sept around going to the Cape when sister #1 is there...we will see if that sticks.  Got home.  Finished Ignatius.  Started Silva.  My cash back money is now history.  Oh well.  It did allow me to do somethings I would not have done if I did not have it.  

Today - walk, pool.  Nothing on paper calendar.  

By all means, ruffle a few feathers this weekend, even if it means some long-standing friendships are put at risk. Just because most people subscribe to a particular point of view does not mean you have to as well. Embrace being the odd man out.
