Had tried to schedule a trip out of town on this day in the past, but the last few years - just hunker down and know that "this too will pass" as to the wall to wall people in outfits jamming Main St and the surrounds for the parade. Oh well.
Yesterday - watched L&O shows, read, walked, swung by library to pick up book on hold on my way to massage. Massage. Worked through more of the company/landlady leftovers...will be good thing when I get back to my normal diet. Talked to sister #6. She was off for her post work walk to the beach. :)
Today - watch Boston Blue, finish W&T book and drop at library, long walk, hunker down. :) Lights out, nobody home "face" to the street below. Do monthly financial report.
I thought this was an interesting take on this time of year...Halloween - another holiday we have taken in the wrong direction and focus. :) From a newsletter I get: "Samhain is the ancient Celtic festival marking the turn from the light half of the year to the dark half. Many believe that on this night the boundary between the living and the dead grows thin. Some people light bonfires on hilltops and others set a place at the table for loved ones who had died, welcoming their return rather than fearing it. Centuries later, much of Samhain's shape survives, often unrecognized, inside Halloween: the costumes once meant to disguise the living from wandering spirits, the jack-o'-lanterns once meant to guide the dead home rather than frighten children. Underneath the candy and the costumes is an older instinct, the same one every tradition in this season seems to share: that the dead are closer at hand than we usually let ourselves feel, and that this closeness is not something to dread."
Great pics to my picture frame from son and his trip with his father. They have covered a lot of ground in just a couple of days. My son does plan a full trip itinerary. :)
If a friend or work colleague seems determined to fan the flames of disagreement this weekend, you must let them, and everyone else, know that you want no part of it. As a fair-minded Libra you detest “good guy” versus “bad guy” situations, and rightly so.Money may be hidden in plain sight, dearest Libra, as the Cancer Moon aligns with Mercury Rx. This energy is perfect for selling unwanted valuables, going through your purses and jean pockets, or reworking business ideas that haven't taken off but you still believe in. Notice if you've been overly harsh with yourself recently once Venus Rx activates midafternoon, and work toward building yourself up instead. Consider if unhealthy romantic connections or professional environments are contributing to these issues when Chiron stirs this evening. Blow off steam and live your best life after Luna enters Leo tonight, priming you for a happy Halloween!
At the end of the day, you're the one who has to look in the mirror and know who you are, Libra. Think about this the next time you're tempted to make a rude comment or spread a displeasing fact about someone else. One side of you may be able to rationalize behavior that the other side simply despises. Today look at both of sides of yourself, not just the one that pleases you.
Will try and spend some quality time - with myself. :) Have a good Saturday.
