Back to Work Morning

My cousin had tickets for a concert tonight at the Palace Theater. Guess the show will not go on... again, another unreplaceable figure passed away.

And then more today - Gerald Ford.

But even with all the news it was a happy holiday period over the last few days. Dropped my son off at the New Haven train station last night. We spent quite a bit of time on the road yesterday - my house to sister #5 to New Haven. We covered the state - NW to NE to S Central and back NW. Good news that my check engine light was no big deal and I walked up to the car place, dropped the car off at 7:30 a.m. and walked back and picked it up at 10 a.m. As always, things "worked".

Being the sister who is not normally home for the holidays, I wonder if the family missed me the way we missed sister #1 this year? I doubt it, but I do know that #1 and her daughter were missed this weekend. Sister #3 is headed to the Caribbean for a visit in a couple of weeks.

Off to work this a.m. - seems like I have been out of work for awhile. May be a rough re-entry. More writing later.
