Off to a work party today with the Land Conservation Trust group in my town. My first impulse is to go back to bed, but I know I volunteered for a reason.

I am a bit unsettled by the news of the day, the time of the year, and the readjustment from holiday routine back to "regular" day's and week's schedule. I did have a great wandering walk yesterday after work let out at noon. Left the house on foot at 2 p.m. and got home at 5 p.m. Walked over to our local mall and wandered in and out of small shops I had never been in. I am on the look out for some hostess gifts for my upcoming trips.

Hope the outdoor work will get my writing juices flowing and clear my mind of some of the clutter. We will see.
