HOUSE

Once I heard that Dr. House won his Golden Globe, I could go to bed. It still surprises me when I hear his Australian accent when he talks in "real life". Nothing is as it seems in life - on so many levels.

Yesterday was pretty anti-climatic after my weekend events, but I was glad to have the rest. I did start thinking through final thoughts about this weekend's trip. I handed over my tickets to The Daily Show to my son to use on Tuesday, I was re-thinking the logistics that got me home late from Houston on Monday night, then got me to NYC by noon-ish on Tuesday. I think I will try for more tickets for the summer. I did contact the hotel at my departing airport to see what their best offer would be for staying their tomorrow night and Monday night AND keeping my car in covered parking. They advertise a "stay and park" special, but we will see how special it is. I thought that would make my trip more relaxing AND they have an indoor pool. We will see.

We have a speaker program at school tonight. Don't know much about the speaker, but I am looking forward to it. I did go for my long walk last night. Might have to finally try the gym at school between work and the program. It has been warm enough that I have not needed to go inside to exercise. I don't like to pick indoors if outdoors is possible at all. That might change this week.

Spoke to my son last night. Sounds like his company is getting off the ground. Kick off party planned for St Augustine Florida in late February/early March. It is scary for me to see him put himself out there, but there is nothing else he wants to do and he has found "his way" all his life -so I know this will lead him to where he needs to be. I will share his company name as soon as he has his web site set up. One of his roommates is moving out and a new/old roommate is moving in. A college roommate in Florida is moving to NYC. The roommate that is moving out HAS to move in to a relative's new apartment that the relative HAD to buy at around $1 million because it was too good a bargain to pass up! My son dreams of having those relatives...

Off to work.
