Yankee Feng Shui Update

At my dumpling dinner last night, my neighbor shared that her grandmother said that the head of your bed had to face north. Now with my furniture moving, the head of my bed is facing north!!! Am I feeling it or not! Things should start popping any day now?... One of the middle school teachers made up a poster with the Rick Majerus picture from SI with "Anne, would you go out with me?" in word cloud (what do you call those things like in the cartoons?) above his head and I found it on my desk when I got back from lunch yesterday. I am glad I humor people with my "issues".

Yesterday dinner was good, dancing at 3 p.m. was fun, work was busy - a good day all around. Not sure what my weekend looks like. Have a mother coming up from Florida who wanted to tour the campus on Saturday - my thought was I was going to be there anyway so I might tour her around if she wants to. It will be a bit dull with all the girls gone but the buildings will all be there. Other than that I will be getting the "stuffings" ready for the contracts we will be sending out on Wednesday. Sunday my goal is to curl up in bed and read my Feb book club book.

Sad about Kucenich. I don't know why he puts himself through the grueling process every 4 years. He brings good arguments to the discussion, but does not get much coverage of his views. I really need to get focused about how I am going to vote in the primary.

I guess I should be getting a check in the mail soon from our current President? I did not get much the last time this rebate deal happened, but maybe I will get a little something this time around. I do think it is a not good idea. It is like telling my son I am through supporting him, but when I am feeling like I don't know what to do for him - I send a little "slippage". Not a good pattern - but at least my weakness is not at a $160,000,000 level. Handing out money is the easy way out. I will be curious to hear what Brooks and Shields have to say on the NewsHour tonight.

Looks like JamesOn is back on the Bulls lineup. His life must be very interesting right now - up and down between the big time and the developmental league.
