My mental calendar was way off yesterday Feb 7 and 14 no class but Feb 1 - class. Had to go to the school store to buy a pair of sweatpants. I will keep them in my office so I don't have to scramble when I lose track of dancing time. They are too long, but that fact led me to find out that there is a sewing machine in the art department - maybe that is why I was led to those pants so I could find out that we have a sewing machine on premise that I could use...
I also went to calling hours for my Spanish teacher. He taught all our family Spanish and I guess contributed to the "other culture" thinking that runs through our family. It was good to see his family and I am glad that I had seen him when I was canvassing for Chris Murphy. And speaking of that, my political guide emailed me yesterday and she is in the Obama camp. She had been with Biden until he dropped out, but now she is Obama. So with her and sister #1 in his camp - I can take "ponder my super Tuesday choice" off my things to do this weekend.
Things I will not be taking off my list - bachelorette party tonight and I got a call that a dear friend from NC is in Connecticut and we will be getting together. I am a happy girl. But lots of work between now and tonight...I woke up early today and need to to take advantage of that and will be leaving shortly.
Had calls last night from sister #3, #4, friend from NC, and my son. He delayed his departure and is off to Costa Rica on Tuesday - then SC, Florida, Louisiana, Texas. Back in NYC in late March, early April. "The chick from Toronto" is talking moving to NYC this summer. Maybe I better find out what her name is...
Off to the shower. Have a pile of work sitting on my desk at work.
Feeling good about the day and weekend ahead. (I did cancel my blood giving appt - I will reschedule, but I thought I was pushing it trying to get there at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
Have a good Friday and weekend. I did my "rabbit, rabbit" to get the first day of the month off on a good start, but I was feeling it already last night.
