A peaceful Sunday

I finished and filed my income taxes, went for my "regular walk" which has been anything but regular of late, went to the Hartford Public Library and stopped by work - but only to make one phone call and check inquiries. I also took myself out to dinner for dumplings. All and all a very good day.

My walk along the river with the snow was beautiful. I have been doing all my walking around school of late, so the scenery change was a good thing.

The Harmony in Hartford program was packed. Emery Smith was playing. I was very happy to hear that these programs are going through May. I need to get people to go with me to some of them once the weather warms up and we can find a place to sit outside and have lunch before or dinner after.

Got a email from my SIL - sounds like their trip went well. Sister #1 was her usual incredible hostess before she left to come to DC.

I checked out Atlantic City online yesterday. I am thinking that will be my March vacation destination - road trip - with a stop in NYC on the way home. It was "coincidental" that my boating show - Port O Call - before Q&A was based in Atlantic City last night. I am also thinking of seeing about a cottage at the beach we went to for years - their June rates are very low. We will see - returning people have until March 1 to let them know. Then they will look at new people of which I guess I now would fall into.

Dance class tonight, then an EDA special meeting. We will see if I will need to go back to work after that. Things should be really revving up from now until Mar 10, another reason I took it easy yesterday. I am sure that will be my last day off until then.

Watched a bit of the non-racing in California. Don't think it ever happened.
