Political shot in the arm

Very pleasing night last night at Murphy fundraiser. Chris Dodd was a very inspiring speaker and Chris Murphy is always the best. Even being as cheap as I am, I can part with my money to help him stay in power. I also ran into the local Obama coordinator and I plan on going with a group to PA to canvas next weekend. They have a bus going down every weekend between now and the primary.

Day at work started with another party. We had another birthday - and we had quiche, strawberries, entemann's (sp) donut holes, and orange juice. Great start. We ended the day on Thursday with another co-worker party - 3 birthdays in March out of 6 people. Next one is in April - I am in charge of that one. I may have to contact my co-worker's mom to help me get a good surprise. Feb, Mar, Apr and then me in October. I will be curious when the new people's birthdays are...should have found that out before they were hired - another question I should have asked on my question list.

We are working on a recruiting event for next Friday - try to convince girls that coming to our school is the right thing for them. We will see how things move after that.

I am off the Hartford Public Library again today - two conflicting programs, a Film Noir speaker and another mystery writer speaker - can't figure out how they schedule them at the same time...it will be a last minute decision for me, but I will probably go for the writer.

Don't forget about the light thing at 8 p.m. tonight. Take a look outside to see if anyone else heard the news.
