Now it is feeling right not to be working on the weekend. It took me a couple of weekends to make the adjustment after 6 months of no down time.
Yesterday I went to the parents', then to downtown Hartford to take a short walk and then go to a program at the HPL. Steven Torres, author of the Precinct Puerto Rico series. He has a great story about his writing and in his writing. After that I came home to take another walk, church and then to the Package Store to buy wine for a school function that our staff group is sponsoring in a couple of weeks. We had a great turnout last year, we will see about this year. Our group is not as active and the membership has changed in big ways - big not good. But I am up for the party.
I got two books at the library yesterday - Precinct Puerto Rico Book One by Steven Torres and Hug Your People by Jack Mitchell. I hope to do some reading today.
Need to get some cards out soon - some birthdays coming up this month. Maybe I will do that shopping today.
Now I will shift to the talking heads' shows and then decide about the balance of the day. Girls come back to school tomorrow so life will change drastically at work.
