We had a "state of the union" address at school by one of our trustees at the faculty meeting last night after he spent an hour each with 58 employees - me not included - but I have to keep reminding myself where I am in the work food chain. It was an interesting end of the day after I began the day in the dining hall over my cereal and heard that someone who I think very highly of was leaving. No announcement yet about another co-worker who I know is leaving. I am thinking that this is always an active time of the year around school settings. I know I have not signed my contract yet.
Weather was no jacket yesterday, but definite jacket today. I guess I got my flip flops out a bit prematurely. I also check out the Old Navy supply for my Summer 2008 footwear. It looks like they fancied them up a bit, I hope they did not mess with their "walk-ability"...that could really upset my apple cart.
Getting a head start this a.m. so I can get some "stuff" lined up for the girls to take a look at for Friday's ASVD. I am not visualizing the event so I need their feedback that what I have put together is what they want.
My cosmic guidance for the week...
""I slept with faith and found a corpse in my arms on awakening," wrote occult philosopher Aleister Crowley in his flowery neo-Victorian style. "I drank and danced all night with doubt and found her a virgin in the morning." I think that formulation will serve you well in the coming days, Libra. There's little to be gained from clinging compulsively to your hopes and fantasies about what's true. Just the opposite: Momentous strength will rise up in you if you question everything you hold dear or assume to be fact."
Not that I usually have a problem questioning things.
